Too Hard to Resist Page 26

“I Ubered.” I give him a look. “Mads, you weren’t leaving here without me.”

His determination and possessiveness fan the flames growing hotter inside me. I break every traffic law to get us quickly to my new apartment. We stumble inside, hands all over each other, bodies straining, mouths devouring.

Elliot pulls back to take a peek at our surroundings. “Nice place.”

It’s small, but my very own, and I love it. I love it even more with Elliot taking up space. “Thanks. You’ve been the only missing piece.”

He pins me in place with so much tenderness in his blue eyes, my legs nearly give out. Then he scoops me up and carries me to bed. We slowly undress each other, stroking, kissing, and worshipping every exposed body part. His touch is unbearably sweet and sexy and fierce all at the same time.

I’m desperate to have him inside me, and he knows it. Braced on his elbows, he smiles down at me. He holds my gaze as he enters me. He holds it while he moves his hips. He holds it as we rock against each other. It’s intense.

  It’s everything.

It’s the kind of intimacy I’ve always wanted.

He murmurs sexy things. Makes me come once. Flips me over onto my knees and makes me come again. His release follows, powerful, insatiable, committed. He collapses onto his back beside me.

I fold my arms underneath my head and rest my cheek on my hands to stare at him.

He rolls his head to the side to meet my regard.

“So,” he says, “since you’re now a CEO, does that mean I’ll have to make an appointment to see you?”

“Probably.” I try to say this with a straight face.

“Okay,” he says, nodding, going along with me. “Do you do standing appointments?”

“I suppose for certain people that could be arranged.”

He rolls over and props his head in his hand. “How about boyfriends?”

I grin. I can’t help it. “Boyfriends do rank pretty high up.”

“Especially yours.” He gives me that sexy, cocky, yet charming grin of his that makes me want to climb inside him.

  “Especially mine,” I say amiably.

“Because he’s the lucky guy who gets to brag about his gorgeous, amazing, smart, warmhearted girlfriend.”

  “I’d say they’re both lucky.”
